What is Spam Assassin?

Spam Assassin is an intelligent email filter which uses a varied range of tests to identify unsolicited bulk email which are known as Spam. These tests are applied to email headers and content to categorize email using sophisticated statistical methods. In addition, SpamAssassin has a modular architecture that allows other technologies to be quickly handled against spam and is designed for easy assimilation into virtually any email system.
The SpamAssassin system investigate email messages and it determine how likely spammer can spam, and reporting its conclusions. Most of the current version has rule-based system that compares different parts of email messages with a large set of rules. Each rule adds or removes points from a message’s spam score. A message with a high enough score is reported to be spam. It help side by side to block, mark or filter out mail you really don’t need.

How do I access Spam Assassin?
Due to multi technical approach, SpamAssassin is widely used in all aspects of email management. First thing you will want to do is log into your cPanel. From there, under the “Mail” box looks at the nine a link that reads “Spam Assassin”. That will let you know if Spam Assassin is currently enabled or disabled. Clicking the boxes to enable or disable Spam Assassin is how you can turn it on or off. To build up the Spam Assassin settings click the button that reads like this “Configure Spam Assassin (required to rewrite subjects)”.
